Ekiti State APC chairman, Paul Omotoso is dead

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Paul Omotoso, has passed away.

Omotoso passed away in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness.

Newsflash Nigeria gathered from close sources that the Imesi-Ekiti-born politician actively participated in a series of political meetings on Monday.

He was said to have complained of feeling unwell on Tuesday, which led to his rushed admission to a government hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, where he later died.

Recall that the late Omotoso was kidnapped in July 2023 and was released after five days.

The publicity secretary of the party in the state, Segun Dipe, confirmed the incident but could not provide further explanation as to the cause of Omotoso’s death or where his body was deposited.
