Ex-Governor Osunbor Warns APC Against Repeating 2020 Mistakes, Says Age Is No Hindrance

Oserhemen A. Osunbor, a former governor of Edo State, has cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership and its National Working Committee (NWC) to avoid the errors that cost the party the 2020 election. He also declared that he is not too old to run for governor again.

Osunbor made these remarks in an interview with journalists at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, after obtaining his expression of interest and nomination forms for the September 21 governorship election in Edo State. He advised the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, to ensure a fair and transparent primary process without any interference or manipulation.

He also challenged his critics and rivals to a race, saying that age is not a factor in governance. He said he is fit and ready to serve the people of Edo State for a second term, after being removed from office 16 years ago. He emphasized that good governance should not be compromised for age.

He denied having any unfinished business in Edo Government House, saying that he left nothing behind. He said his motivation is to positively impact the lives of Edo people and bring development to the state.
