Group Calls on President Tinubu to Address Economic Woes

A socio-political cultural group, Atunluse Initiative, has urged President Bola Tinubu to take urgent measures to reduce the high cost of living in the country.

The group’s Chairman, Mr Akin Akinbobola, made the call during a meeting with members on Sunday in Akure, Ondo State.

Akinbobola said Tinubu should use his power and influence to improve the “difficult situation” so that Nigerians could benefit from democratic governance.

He said the government should ensure food security and provision of other essential services to Nigerians for their well-being.

“Since President Tinubu assumed office, things have gone from bad to worse and Nigerians have been suffering from hunger and frustration.

“We are appealing to the president to do his best to make a positive impact on the country’s history.

“He has to revive the economy and make it more productive. As a Yoruba man, Tinubu should be a role model,” he said.

Regarding the upcoming governorship election in the state, Akinbobola said the group would support a candidate who had the interest of the people at heart.
