Iyabo Ojo Speaks On Setting Lizzy Anjorin Up With Theft Allegation

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has cleared the air on the accusation of setting up her colleague, Lizzy Anjorin, who was recently accused of theft and issuing a fake bank alert at a Lagos market.

According to Naija News, an X user, @BettyStaveley, posted a video of Anjorin at the market, where she allegedly bought some fashion accessories with a fake bank alert of N91,000 last year. The shop owner confronted her when she returned to the market and claimed he never received the money.

Anjorin, however, denied the allegation and said she was a victim of a planned attack. She said they wanted to burn her alive. She also explained that it was her husband who made the payment, and the vendor acknowledged the alert before she left. She said her husband offered to resend the money and investigate the issue when the vendor later complained.

A video clip circulating online showed Iyabo Ojo responding to a question about her role in the alleged setup. The actress, who was at an event to celebrate Funke Akindele’s new movie, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’, said she had nothing to do with the theft allegation. She said she did not know about Anjorin’s visit to the market or her transaction. She said, “Did she announce to me that she was going to the market? No. Was I the one who did the transfer? No. Do I know her movement? No. So how did I set you up, babe?”
