Kidnappers kill three, demand N700 million for remaining seven in Abuja estate

The residents of Sagwari Layout Estate Dutse, Abuja are living in fear after a deadly kidnapping incident that claimed the lives of three people. The incident occurred on January 7, when armed men stormed the estate and took away ten people at gunpoint.

Daily24apss gathered that the kidnappers have killed three of their captives to pressure their families into paying the ransom. The kidnappers have also raised their ransom demand from N60 million to N100 million per person, bringing the total amount to N700 million.

Sources close to the families of the victims said that the kidnappers blamed the killings on the slow pace of the ransom negotiations. They also threatened to kill more people if their demands are not met soon.

The FCT police command has not issued any statement on the matter, despite several attempts to contact the Police Public Relations Officer. The fate of the remaining seven hostages remains uncertain as the kidnappers continue to hold them captive.
