NNPCL, Subsidiary record first oil production in OML 13 in Akwa Ibom
NNPC Exploration and Production Limited’s flagship upstream Subsidiary, in conjunction with Natural Oilfield Services Ltd. (NOSL), a subsidiary of Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Ltd (SEEPCO), proudly announced the commencement of successful oil production at Oil Mining Lease (OML) 13 in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
The disclosure was made by NNPC E&P Ltd’s spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, in a statement released on Sunday.
Commencing on May 6, 2024, with an initial output of 6,000 barrels of oil, production is projected to escalate to 40,000 barrels per day by May 27, 2024.
This milestone marks a significant achievement in the collaborative efforts of NNPC E&P Ltd and NOSL, demonstrating their commitment to propelling growth and progress in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, an integral part of the nation’s economy.
