Unilorin Student Abducted Inside School Premises
In a shocking incident at the University of Ilorin, Moyosore Bright, a dedicated zoology student, fell victim to hoodlums who abducted her within the institution’s premises. The unsettling event, which transpired on January 26, 2024, has prompted swift action from the Kwara State police.
The revelation came to light through a statement from DSP Ejire Adetoun Adeyemi, the spokesperson of the Kwara State police command. According to the statement, Moyosore boarded a mini-bus (Korope) at the school terminus with other students, intending to reach her hostel at Tanke. However, she mysteriously lost consciousness and found herself in the bush around 1900hrs on the same day, several kilometers away from Ilorin metropolis.
Despite the absence of physical harm, the perpetrators made off with her possessions, including a gold chain, ATM cards, and N3,000 in cash. The police are actively conducting a preliminary investigation to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for Moyosore’s abduction.
Commissioner of Police Victor Olaiya assured the public of the commitment to combat all forms of crimes in Kwara State, ensuring a secure environment for its residents.
