Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships

Vanier Scholarships is one of the most popular scholarships that are being offered by many universities, including the University of Western Ontario, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Dalhousie University, The University of Winnipeg, and Lakehead University.

Ontario Trillium Scholarship

The Ontario Trillium Scholarship is awarded to full-time students who have successfully completed at least six consecutive months of undergraduate studies in an eligible program at an approved post-secondary institution.

The scholarship is worth $1,500 per academic year, with the potential for a renewal. There are no restrictions on field of study and other than Canadian citizenship, there are no other eligibility requirements.

To qualify for the scholarship you must be enrolled as a full-time student at an approved post-secondary institution in one of the following: bachelor’s degree programs; associate degree programs; diploma or certificate programs.

You can apply if you’re studying outside of Ontario, but only if your program is not available anywhere else in Canada. If your program has been recognized by another province or territory as being equivalent to that offered by that province or territory, then it qualifies.

It does not matter where in Canada you are studying because the scholarship applies to all provinces and territories. Full-time employment does not affect eligibility for this award.

Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship will provide $70,000 for students entering their second or third year of a Bachelor’s degree program in the fields of arts, humanities, social sciences, law and education.

Applicants will be asked to submit an essay on one of the topics proposed by the foundation.

The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship aims to support excellence in studies that improve Canadian democracy and society. The scholarship fund pays tribute to Pierre Elliott Trudeau’s contribution as a man of deep conviction who sought at every opportunity to better our country, says Stephen Azzi, president and CEO of Concordia University.

It is through scholarships like this that we can ensure his legacy continues. As well as providing assistance with tuition fees, the scholarship offers assistance with study abroad opportunities. The application deadline is April 1st 2019.

Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarships

The Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarships are awarded to students from across the world who have a record of academic achievement and want to take their education further by completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo.

As part of this scholarship, each student is provided with up to $20,000 CAD for tuition and living expenses over a two-year period. Recipients must maintain full-time study and be enrolled in one of the following programs: Computer Science (Co-op), Systems Design Engineering, Mathematics or Actuarial Science.

To be eligible, students must provide evidence of proficiency in English. Awarded annually on March 1st to May 1st depending on funding availability

Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow Award Scholarship

The Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow Award is an $8,000 scholarship for university students who want to study abroad. The scholarship covers airfare and tuition, as well as living expenses such as accommodations, food, and travel.

We are a Canadian University that believes in providing opportunities for young leaders to explore the world. Our goal is to give students the chance to make a difference by volunteering with humanitarian organizations overseas. Students can then bring their knowledge back home, so they can share their experience with others.

They will also have a better understanding of what it means to be an international citizen, and how we all have a responsibility to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

With this understanding comes responsibility:

1) At least one year after the student’s return from their stay abroad, they must volunteer at least 100 hours at either JCI Global or local chapter events

2) As long as your application is submitted before October 31st 2017 you will be considered for this award.

University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship

The University of Calgary is a public research university in Alberta, and it is consistently ranked among the top universities in Canada.

It offers several scholarships for international students including their International Entrance Scholarship which is available to applicants who meet the requirements for these scholarships.

The criteria for this scholarship include an overall academic average of B+ or higher, being an active student (as reflected by participating in extracurricular activities), and acceptance into a bachelor’s degree program at the University of Calgary.

If you are eligible for this scholarship, you will be offered $8,000 CAD annually towards your tuition costs.

University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF)

UMGF provides a limited number of graduate fellowships in support of outstanding students enrolled in any degree program at the University of Manitoba.

This award is renewable for up to three years provided you are making satisfactory progress. Scholarships may be awarded to applicants based on their financial need and the results of an assessment interview with UMGF selection committee members.

Awards will normally be for 50% of full-time tuition or less (depending on circumstances).

You must meet minimum requirements such as: Canadian citizen, permanent resident, landed immigrant, or protected person; reside in Canada; have graduated from high school (or equivalent) within two years prior to commencing your university studies; not already hold a Bachelor’s degree; complete applications and attach all required documentation by March 15th
